New Indian Express reported that after the POSCO Pratirodha Sangram Samiti, another outfit has decided to hit the streets over land acquisition for the proposed POSCO steel plant.
The newly floated outfit, POSCO Pratirodha Sangram Samanwaya Samiti has decided to observe black day on April 12th over their demands for withdrawal of armed police forces from Gobindpur and stopping the land acquisition for the steel plant.
PPSSS had started a day long demonstration near the police camp in Gobindpur on Wednesday over the issue which concluded on Thursday noon.
It was decided that the members of the outfit will observe a black day on April 12th and the decision was supported by anti displacement groups that are fighting against steel project at Kalinga Nagar in Jajpur, aluminium project at Kashipur in Rayagada, Arcelor Mittal's proposed steel plant in Keonjhar and Vedanta's mining plan at Niyamgiri.
